While teams focus on the creation of new products, services, platforms, and features, it's equally important to pay attention to decommissioning them.
By focusing on ending services, we can create services that are more effective, efficient, sustainable, and adaptable. This session will explore the closure stories of over 30 services, which prompts participants to challenge their own practices and consider under which conditions their services could come to an end. Building on research, we delve into the experiences of people who have closed services in various industries, including health, government, banking, and energy. We cover everything from emergencies to planned and soft landings, incorporating lessons learned along the way.
